The Death of Jesus

Church of St. Mary of Nazareth ("The Scalzi"), Venice, Italy

This work may be later than the mid-16th century. Because it ignores the traditional inclusion of putti carrying the instruments of the Passion up to Heaven, it may be as late as the 18th century.

The sculpture is also untraditional in the way it separates the image of the Father from the angels and the body.
